Rayner's cockerpoo's
The Cockerpoo is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between a Cocker Spaniel and the Poodle.
1970: The name Cockerpoo was used for the first time to describe an American Cocker Spaniel x Poodle.
Cross breeding has been popular for centuries and does benefit the canine gene pool.
Labradoodle is also a cross breed that was bred in Australia by Wally Conron as he aimed to breed a guide dog for those allergic to dog fur.
HEALTH: Cockerpoos tend to have far fewer genetic problems than their parents breeds. This is due to what some call hybrid vigour.
TEMPERAMENT: Cockerpoos are well known for their loyalty to their owners. Like both their parents breeds they are trainable and intelligent..
They are bright, affectionate and love people.
